Cold Justice

In the darkness, David peered at the stucco house. The trees whispered ominously as he pulled a gun from the back of his jeans and eased the door open. He crept into the living room. A late show on tv was the only sound within. Reclined in a sofa, the man who killed his girl slept, unkempt and reeking of alcohol. Stepping forward, he pressed the cold nozzle against the murder's forehead.
Dark eyes snapped open. “What the hell…?”
“This is for my daughter, you sick fuck.” He pulled the trigger, blood splattering across his arm and face. Cold justice.
